Thanks to Community for Sharing Accumulated Knowledge
I'm simply taking here, the nagging advice of the log-in page to correct the state of never having posted on the forums. I have been a Ubuntu user for about a year. But as Director of Engineering for a small technology development company that has recently lost its IT guru, lately I am taking a crash course in administration tasks on Apple xserve, cent-OS, fedora, Apache, subversion, MySQL, MediaWiki, and many other things I knew nothing about until lately. I recognize how much damage misguided or misinformed efforts can do, so I am grateful for the help of the Community here at LinuxQuestions.
