I've been curious about Linux for several years now, but never had a compelling reason to try it until now. (Win 3.11, Win95, Win98SE and WinXP have been just fine, thanks.) But now that I'm enrolled in a master's degree program in infosec, I suddenly found that I had to get "up-to-speed" on Linux and install a distro to learn with. This would have been very difficult without LQ.org. Thanks for the help so far, and I look forward to being able to help the community in the future. (Even if I don't intend to give up on WinXP.)
About my user name -- when I'm not studying or playing around with my laptop's new Linux install, I play darts.
