student linux

hello

I'm getting older and now I want to learn about unix.
I'm a Belgium guy and cause of medical faillure I have to look out for another job. But first I have to learn one.
Because I was always interested in computers, I take a new twist on my carreer and try to lean unix to become a system engineer.
Although it is very hard, when you have to learn it on your own, I try and hope to get some help on the internet. The last few day I did only search and try to find some answers. ....
Unfortunately linux have several ways to come to a solution.

For the moment I take classes, but 'on a distance', meaning I never go to school to get any comment of the lector. That's why I hope to get some proper information here.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully I succeed in my new career.

I know it can be confusing but I think, eventually, that it's rather an advantage because if you don't master one way, you can do another way
