Slackware 12.2 user introduction.
Hi,
I've been a lurker on LQ on for a long time - Didn't relise I needed to post to access some of the features of LQ.
I have a Slackware 12.2 server that I have configured to run the Firebird SQL database with Tomcat and appache.
My goal, if you like, is to link up the 3 and use it to produce database driven web applications to support my job - I'm a controls systems engineer.
Its slow progress but then it is a hobby. I want to load Slackware 64 as soon as I get home if it will support Appache, tomcat and Firebird. (Firebird has a 64bit version). I only found out about Slackware64 today so still researching it.
I live in Canada. Comox. BC actually.
