I don't get what is so "sick" about it, but maybe you'll enlighten us some day..

Welcome, anyway.

Pity the sticky doesn't say why it's required. Has been asked many times - try a search to find out why.

People are much more impressed with the sick routine of attempting to blow a simple requirement out of proportion.

I may be missing something but I do not believe it is required that everyone's first post be in Intro. Is this something new? I know it is suggested a post in intro would meet the requirement of one post before being able to post a link.

This hardly qualifies as a "sick ritual".

Its not a requirement at all. Its encouraged to introduce yourself, but its not compulsory.
