Newbie - wanting to copy a music CD - Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon

I know I'm old fashion - and really need to start playlist, but for now, I just wanted to copy a CD.

I'm not totally new to Linux - a friend introduced this wonderful platform to me years ago, and since I quit my IT job and no longer need MS Windows, I'm immersing myself in Linux. I set a linux system up for my mother and besides having a little challenge of loading special programs and printers, it has been virtually trouble free for some 10 years - then I finally updated her.

Anyway - thank you for this forum ... looking forward to using as a resource!

K

PS: I just read first message ... don't ask technical questions - so I'll understand when no one answers my question

Welcome to freedom for your computer.

Normally, we 'rip' music CDs into mp3, ogg, or any other supported format.

I often used cdparanoia, used to be on most distros.

K3B is very good to copy music CDs. I always use it to copy my own CDs to my music library, even on other DEs like Cinnamon.
