Thumbs up Newbie intro

Good day! my name is brian, and i do most of my computer work on this here dell c610: P3 1.2ghz, 1G RAM, xp pro sp2. good little laptop. 2001-2002 I attended Techskills in San Francisco, achieving an MCP in Windows 2000, and an A+ certification. Because entry level pay was much less than my then-current pay, i decided to stay at my regular job. in 2004, i built a desktop machine: amd xp 3200+, 1g RAM, xp sp2, radeon 9200 video, Viewsonic vx 724 monitor, nothing special. i actually built it to run a flight simulator. about 6 months ago ,i started getting bsods on the desktop: 512 dimm was bad. i wanted to learn a new OS, and Linux seemed appropriate. so i'm trying to install suse linux 10.1 to dual boot with xp pro. i'll address that in another forum. Glad to be here! will use this site as a manual.

Hi Brian!

Glad to see you here. This site is great for learning how to use linux, and wade through some of the finer problems you might have. But, I have another manual you may find better. Click here to access it!

Only joking around, sorta. :-)

Have a good day!
