I don't know if you have already chosen a Linux distribution to install and/or use yet, but
this "intro" written by another member could be a good start.
Remember, if you're having a problem, chances are that somewhere someone else has had the same/similar problem, therefore a web search is your best friend in helping to solve your Linux problems. And remember that Linux is not Windows.
