New to... err.. a lot of stuff.

Hey; I've recently moved from WinME to Linux, the main reason being that WinME is like a house of cards, and it's programs are like oscillating fans.

I'm using Debian Woody, which I set up from netinstall, and managed to get KDE to work (using my NVidia cards), which though it may not seem much of an achievement to most of you, I'm pretty proud of (it did, however, take much kicking and screaming.)

So, yeh... uh... hi. :)

Hi yourself, and welcome!

I've got to say though you are a brave soul to use Debian as your first Linux distro :) Now, before, I get flamed, I don't mean that there is anything wrong with Debian. It's a very stable distro, just not exactly newbie friendly :)

On the other hand if you want to learn about Linux and your computer, Debian is great :)

I choose Debian because I heard it was tricky, and I felt like a challenge, and now I've started on it, I don't wish to give up, as then I'd feel like I was quitting! Also, I like challenges, and as I have a long holiday infront of me, I want to do something to pass the time. :)
