Hollo!.
My name Is konglim and I am very new to Linux. I am quite used to the Mocrosoft Windows operating system, though, and I used to support a small non-profit organization with their windows computers, but I am retired now, and spend most of my time in the house and in the back yard garden. I recently decided to explore computers again, choosing to learn Linux. I find it hard though, but I do not regret my decision. If I can get good enough too, like you, I do not mind going back to work, because I now think I retired too soon, and I am also brook.

Hello konglim and welcome to the forum. I do hope that you enjoy your retirement.

I am a severe newbie looking to learn and interact with as much Linux related content that I can. I can't believe that more people aren't at least attempting to invest the time into learning and utilizing Linux. Now as I said before I am a newbie so there will probably be an annoying amount of questions flying out of my newly intrigued NugNog. But hopefully as the intro reads they will be at least respectfully received and most important of all I hope to learn as much from all of you as I can. Because if you have been learning Linux for more than a week then well you've probably learned more than me. I don't intend to rant. I will not get on here and pretend to be something that I am not. Not only am I new in the world of Linux, but I know next to nothing about coding or software in general. However I am making like a new born babe and ravenous to learn EVERYTHING. Long winded a bit. My apologies. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I've already installed Fedora 31 Server Edition onto my PC and I am already stumped at the localhost login. I've tried, root, and my username creaded in the pre installation process (name drawing a blank sorry) any advice is welcome to those of you who haven't already lost interest.lol

Both of you, welcome to LQ.

Anonyvoid7, it might be best to post your login issue in a relevant forum (Intro is not really for solving problems) with as many relevant details as you can include. Generally, Fedora expects you to log in with your username and password, but I haven't used the server edition, just the desktop version.

A thank you not

I want to thank you all for the warm welcome. Forgive me if my recent post have showed up in a forum where they don't really belong. There may be explanations:
1. I may not even not know how to post. For example, when I log into LQ, I do not even know where to go to find my own very posts. This may be because I am very ignorant. Usually I will search my own name before I can find my posts.
2. I have very old and slow computers, After spending a lot of time typing, it usually turns out that I get disconnected and may have to start all over.
3 since I am classified as a "newbe", even if I Post somewhere else where I find appropriate for my article, my writing may be reclassified and relocated to the "Newbe" forum where I really belong. I think that is how the system functions, I am not sure that this is the case, but at lest once, I have found my writing where I do not remember placing it.

Look, I'm new to this... I want to post my question, but I can't...
So I'm upset, and I'm complaining.
