New Linux User Here

I'm a former windows 7 user who has seen the way Microsoft has been going. Don't get me wrong, windows OS's aren't bad, but for me that has changed with windows 10. It is overly intrusive, and less configurable than previous OS'

I love Windows 7 and would have stayed it for many more years to go, but eventually support for it will cease in favour of win 10 and beyond. Knowing that inevitability, I have made the courageous leap towards Linux.

Specifically Linux Mint KDE, I've already figured a lot out through trial and error. What I love about Linux Mint is that it is so powerful in that I feel like I as a user am in control of my PC and not the OS. I can change anything I want that I don't like and my PC is many times faster than it runs under windows.

I have it set up as a dual boot machine, but I haven't even booted to windows for a few months. Eventually Linux will be my main OS and windows will be consigned to the dustbin of history.

I would like to that the people who make and contribute to Linux and Mint specifically that has made it what it is today, and I would like to apologise in advance if I post stupid questions!
