My Introduction
Hi,
It seems I need to do this before I can post helpful URLs on other posts so here I am.
I first tried Linux in about 2002 (or around then) when I tried Mandrake which I liked but didn't know well enough to use full time so ended up switching back to XP when coursework was due as I couldn't do it in Linux yet.
I next tried Linux about 6 months later with Mandrake again which spent 6 months on my PC and not getting used.
I then heard about Ubuntu sending out free CDs from a random guy at school so ordered some, got bored of waiting and downloaded the ISO then installed that and really liked it. I don't know what it was that clicked but I stuck with it and have used it as my main OS ever since then.
I have also tried gentoo and a few other distros but Ubuntu (and Xubuntu) have always been my personal favourites.
Out of Linux I work at a local computer repair shop on my Gap Year and will be going to university to study Computer Science in October.
I also enjoy reading, feeding the ducks and fantasy books and worlds.
