More newbies is a good thing, right?

Hello everyone! After buying Mandrake 7.2 a long time ago and having no luck at installing it on a 200mhz machine, I am back for another try. I just received an 800mhz trashed machine to refit and decided to make it my Linux machine. I had a friend download Mandrake 10.1 and have installed it successfully! Now the program installing issue raised its ugly head and I found this forum. Thank goodness there is this vast community of willing souls to help us noobs when we stumble!
I hope to be able to help someone else out someday and return the favor. Looking forward to interacting with you all!.
Later.
