Linux since 1993, but still have daily "brain farts"
I was a dabbler in HPUX, AIX, and a little more than that with BSD & System V. I was living in the Netherlands when some kid in Suomen tasavalta came up with the idea for Linux on PCs.
I dabbled with it until '95 when I jumped in deeply. By 2001, our system filled home was 100 percent Linux. And in 2005, I started working with RHEL at work.
Still, whenever I'm working on command line in doing something fairly new, I have major brain farts, and have to come out to the web to clarify my thinking.
So you'll see me here, occasionally asking Newbie questions simply because of time pressures that don't allow me to find and study through even MAN pages.
But I hope to pay back my brain farts' "smell in the room" by answering questions too.
I look forward to sharing knowledge.
