linux/bsd again

Hello everybody,

After a couple of years, back again to assess the new distro versions especially the "from sources". As in 2000 deceived by the packaged ones as usually. My new hardware did not accept my desired tty and X screenresolution, my printer isn't working, grub selfinstalling in the first disk for some distros ...GRRRRR§ . So started again with the beloved from scratch linux versions as well as bsd versions.Got to work again with kernel compilation. Yes, i love that.

So far astonished by Puppy and Aryalinux, PCbsd. As usually, not deceived by freebsd and LFS.

It's really nice to get in scripts again and work hard to undestand the new backyard rules.

Welcome to the forums and welcome back to Linux! You sound like someone who's trodden paths with this OS quite a bit actually
