Just trying to help

Got sent here because I tried to post a reply to someone having graphic problems similar to my own.

I am a newbie to linux and bought a Dell with Ubuntu 8.04LTS on it. I love how it works but find trying to write simple glade/gtk+ programs in linux is quite the to do!!

Anyway, I need to finish my other post, hopefully.
