Just joined LQ

Hello all from Downingtown, PA -- Home of the BLOB!

While I am new to LQ, I have been working as a programmer since 1969. Started programming under IBM DOS 360 in assembler. While I have written a lot of 80x86 assember, none has been on Linux or FreeBSD.

Currently I work for SEPTA - the transit agency for the Philly area. We run Buses, Subways, Trolleys and Trains.

Looking forward to both learning from here and contributing to here.

I've never been able to get a bus to run. No legs! Hahaha.

OK, welcome to LQ. Your skills are not lost in linux. This all should come easy. You might even look at projects like MenuetOS.
