Introduction

I'm supposed to introduce myself. Well, I'm a Linux netbook user, with an Eee PC 904GO, Eee PC 1000, and HP 2133. I live in Germany.

Greetings from a hard boiled Alaskan

I was trying to answer a question and am required to introduce myself first.
I have lived in Alaska for the past 24 years, and spent the past 14 years living without electricity or running water. I don't even go to the outhouse without a gun, so all you anti-gunners can go fly a kite. I've pulled my gun twice on people over the years: Once to stop an assault on a woman, and once to stop an assault on a man.
The simple fact is that it is better to have a gun and not need one than to need one and not have one.
About the time you have a 1200 pound brown bear eyballing you, or have a moose try to stomp you into oblivion, you will find out the prudence of carrying a gun in Alaska.
To those who think that guns are only for hunting, think again. The NRA can put that logic where the sun don't shine. It is the Right of all Americans to have and bear arms, "a well regulated militia being essential to the security of a free nation, the Right of the People to have and bear arms shall not be infringed." Every person has the Right to protect themselves and their family and property, which sometimes requires a gun.
