Introduction

Hello.

I'm heading up the project to move some of our corporate business services from Solaris to Linux.

Our sysadmin group is 7 people with a total of around 75 years of Solaris, HP/UX, and AIX experience. Our primary goals are reliability, ease of mass administration (150 servers, growing fast), quick recovery in disaster situations, and thorough documentation.

Our primary distro will be SLES9, although someone is sure to come down the hall demanding that a RedHat machine be built ASAHTIP (as soon as HE thinks it's possible).

Looking forward to swapping questions and answers.

Dave
