Intro

Hello everyone, not-so-long time member...first time poster.

Not really sure what to talk about here. I'm a little new to Linux, I've taken a few classes for my college degree. However, you know what they say: "If you don't use it, you lose it."

I use a UNIX box at work but I don't get very in-depth with it. I also have an extra computer at home that I currently have Ubuntu 7.10 installed on it and my old gaming computer had both XP and Ubuntu (I think 8.4).

Since I'm a big gamer, and coupled with my relative inexperience with Linux, it'll be a while before I'd switch over to Linux completely.

My interests with Linux are primarily to learn how to do everything I can do on a window$ box, ultimately being able to turn it into (and using it as) a server. I know gaming on Linux is getting better and easier but until I learn more about Linux, it'll have to be window$ for now.
