Welcome to LQ,

I have asked a moderator to move your thread to the introduction forum. Yes, LQ has an own subforum solely for this purpose. The title 'Newbie' of this forum might be a bit misleading in this way but the 'Newbie' forum is for basic technical questions.

Have fun with Linux.

Hi, welcome to LQ!

And:

Moved - This thread is more suitable in <Introductions> and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.

Cheers,
