HOW did you install redshift on OpenSUSE 13.2 ?
-- gui
yast2/computer " install/ remove software"

-- terminal
Code:
su -
zypper in redshift redshift-gtk

and redshift is for the color of your screen
Quote:
Redshift adjusts the color temperature of your screen according to your surroundings. This may help your eyes hurt less if you are working in front of the screen at night.

Thanks a lot John VV your advice works I try both ways, but all the time was without success, gtk was the key, and I followed your recommendation. I looked on my old notes and I find the installation of Redshift for Ubuntu and this is from "Itouchmap.com/latlon.html
sudo apt-get install gtk-redshift
gtk-redshift -l52.25:6.15 -t6500:3700

But today doesn't work anymore and this what I readed after the start from redshift from the icon:
GDBus.Errorrg.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Geolocation disabled for UID 1000.
Unable to connect to GeoClue.
error to try the location from the server or something like that, maybe I look by org.freedesktop or itouchmap.com about redshift
and I try a lot of times and no work anymore, maybe tomorrow I can try another time today is late and I don't think anymore clear, but I think first uninstall and after install another time with your instructions. Very friendly your effort to help me, thanks a lot. Gil

OpenSUSE really dislikes you running GUI programs as root (UID 1000)

if you use "su" you get errors sometimes
even if you use "su - " you can get ERRORS running GUI's as ROOT

it is NEVER a great idea to need to put the ROOT GUI to a red tint at night
-- you should NOT be using a gui as root long enough to need that

use "kdesu" for the KDE desktop and "gksu " for Gnome

again you should NOT be using the GUI as ROOT long enough for tinting it red to be needed

Hello I had the same problem solved updating (using YAST in opensuse): geoclue, geoclue-recommended, geoclue2, libgeoclue0.

But now I have other error:

/usr/lib/python3.4/site-packages/redshift_gtk/statusicon.py:32: PyGIWarning: Gtk was imported without specifying a version first. Use gi.require_version('Gtk', '3.0') before import to ensure that the right version gets loaded.
