Impressive Forum

Congratulations to the folks who have put this site together. I belong to another linux forum but was surfing around today at work and came across this one and I have to say it is quite impressive. The HCL section caught my attention first and I was pleasantly surprised at how well organized it is. I took a quick look around a couple of the threads and I was impressed with the technical level of many of those that I read.

I'm relatively new to LInux and especially fond of Slackware as a great way to get my 'hands dirty'.

I work as a sys admin and hdw tech but for last 15 years or so it's been 95% MS products so it is very exciting and motivating to discover this new challenge: i.e. Linux.

Looking forward to participating here in this forum.

Welcome to LQ. By the way this is the unofficial Slackware forum because almost every guru here seems to be using Slack.

Welcome to LQ To correct Redazz, LQ is the official Slackware forum. The Slack site points users at LQ - http://www.slackware.com/links/ and Patrick occasionally drops in.

Thanks for correcting me, I had heard some rumours that LQ had been recommended by Patrick Volkerding, but didn't realise it was official.
