Figured I lurked enough (Lexmark printer problems, Fedora 8 , ugh .... yeah, I know) so I decided to join today. I'm not really a stranger to UNIX/Linux although I am more of a application programmer than an admin type. I've used AIX, Sun Solaris and Red Hat in professional environments. I had Fedora 4 on an old PC I hardly used ... I just installed Fedora 8 (a distribution I had in an old book) and to my horror found out 8 is also a dinosaur so I will be installing Fedora 12 soon. I guess its the leap year upgrade plan or something.
