how to add startup application
 
how to add startup programs in linux .
i have linux fedora 9.
i tried to edit init and rc5 but it dosent help
i want to add startup application like "transmission"(torrent client).

If you want an interactive, user-level process to start automatically, you should set this depending on your window manager.
With kde for instance, you have to put a shortcut to the application you want to run, in the folder ~/.kde/Autostart
If you do like this, when you log into kde you'll see your program starting up.
