Hola !

Hi,
My name is Jerry, some of my friends call me Geraldo and some call me Waldo. I used to live on a street called Windsong Dr.
I first tried linux about a year ago. I installed Suse 9.3 on a store bought 800mhz machine. The install went ok, but the machine was so slow that i decided to put suse on my much faster homebuilt rig I had just built. The install was a nightmare,it wouldn't make an internet connection, would only boot up one out of four trys or just freeze.
My job is as a gardener and when summer is over i will have alot more time to finally master (well, at least understand) linux. I have tried puppy linux recently, but am building a dual core computer and want to make the jump to linux permanent. So soon i will be here asking alot of questions.
Are there any dog lovers here? I have a 8 year old Border Collie.
Jerry

It doesn't sound like you've settled on a particular linux distro. Are you leaning towards one ?

I have a copy of suse 9.3 and puppy. i've wanted to try pclinuxos but have been waiting for latest version to be released, i'm on dialup and have bad phone lines so what every distro i use/try will have to be one that i can get on disc.
