Hiya!

Hi, everybody!

You could describe me as the casual Linux newbie. I've given VectorLinux a try, and I like it. I can navigate through directories, and can unzip and compile programs. That's where my knowledge stops.

The only way in which I can distinguish myself from most other newbies, is that I'm trying LFS. I'm trying it as a VERY long-term project, of course, and it might sound insane. But it's a challenge, and I'm gonna give it a try :P
So I might ask stupid questions, every now and then. I'd like to apologise for that, early on ;-)

If you want to read about my LFS attempt (I'm still in the preparation fase), take a look at my weblog. I'd love to post the link, but I'm not allowed to, not yet (apparently, I need to have 5 posts first ;-) ). (Edit: However, you can check my sig, I put the link in there .

Good luck with LFS Mathiasdm, I've been using LFS for over 2 years now and highly recommend it, Even if you decide its not the distro for you, its educational value is priceless.

If you need any help, just send me a pm, I'd be happy to help out.

Regards Mad.
