Hi there from London
Hi all
I'm a Linux system administrator working with cool things like puppet, cobbler and subversion. They are all to do with automating server installs with Centos or Red Hat Enterprise. At home I've got a very old laptop, a Dell Latitude, where I've installed Red Hat 9. However to connect to the local wi-fi network I'll need some kind of usb wireless device and possibly RH9 won't have a driver, but we'll see. The router is a Netgear WGR614. Anyone have any recommendations? |
I think cards with atheros chipsets are well supported by madwifi - I got a netgear card on ebay for a few pounds and it works flawlessly.

Hi and welcome to LQ, I had a Dell cpx that I ran wireless from a pcmcia card with ndiswrapper. I can not remember which chip it used.
