Hi! New to Linux!

Hi all! I'm Jason. I'm brand new to Linux. My friend Anthony gave me an iMac with the Linux NET4.0 Live Boot CD. I have no clue what I'm doing! haha. But I am exicted to learn! I am having tech problems, so if you'd be so kind to help! Please check out my thread! Thanks!

Jason

welcome to linux. I hope you like it and I beleive you will. I was a newbie about 4 months ago and now I'm going strong. It'll be a bit tough at first but dont give up. Just have in mind that you might have some issues with finding packages for the powerpc architecture.

That's what i've been told by my friend who swears by linux. Im excited though, it seems like a very strong platform to work with. This will also help me in the spring time, as I will be going to college for computer science! hehe
