Hi, I am newbie to linux, i decided to ditch windows because of security issues, i couldn't develop to my full extent, and alot of server applications were for linux. I do need help with it, because I was used to the DOS prompt, alot of commands in DOS do not work on shell, I already gave a few people my root shell account, so theyh could help me setup some things, but one person corrupted my XFree, and i had to work hard to reinstall linux. I am not giving anyone shell access, at least root, until i find out who did it.

You have learned a valuable lesson - physical security is as valuable (if not more so) as software security. That is, if someone has access to your box they can do all sorts of things to it. Hope you get up and running soon.
