Hi, I'm a newbie linux girl who wants to make friends.

Actually, I'm not a girl nor do I really want to make friends, but I am a newbie.

I needed to post a thread before I could post on another site... and I know from experience hardly anyone reads these introduction threads so I thought I would just try a marketing experiment. Obviously it worked or else you wouldn't be reading this, suckers.

Hopefully your thread is tongue in cheek, or else you will have a very uninteresting stay here. I'm going to leave this open to give you the benefit of the doubt - you clearly didn't look at the list of threads in this forum as you woul have seen that most if not all have answers.

Anyway, I'd say to ration yourself on this type of thread: we have over a quarter of a million internet hardmen here and they love to flame.

Note to others: no flaming here.
