Talking Hi from an old new member

When I say old, I mean approaching my 69th birthday.

First started playing with computers about 12 years ago. Came across linux just over four and a half years ago - on holiday in France and there was a copy of Mandrake 6 on the front of a computer mag so I decided to try it when I got home.

Joined Milton Keynes Linux Users Group in Dec 1999 and they meet monthly at the Open University Campus.

Currently running Mandrake 10 rc1 on an XP1800 and connected using 512k ADSL and a Diva router.

I help run an ADSL support site ( and also do the odd parcel courier job for a big parcel company - subs the pension and helps pay for my computing
