Hi karovjacolakovic and welcome to LQ!

My best recommendation is for you to explore various Linux distributions and determine which ones you like best, by using live boot media or virtual machines. Get installing, and I recommend a throw-away desktop machine as the best alternative for this, and then start exploring what you really wish to do with Linux, be that desktop system, server, programming, gaming, or other things with it.

Hi...

This would probably be best determined by your hardware. If you'd like to post the brand and model (and model number) of your system, we might be able to give you more "tailored" advice. However, a good beginner's distribution for many systems is Linux Mint.

Regards...

I would be using Virtual box as my 1st step on learning linux.
