Hi and thrilled

Thank you so much. The light just went on on my wireless card. I followed the instructions pointed to by my system log at the b43-Linux Wireless site. Ran into a problem with "make"with error "command not found". Googled the error, followed someone else's advice to install "build-essentials". Problem solved.

Hi and welcome!

Yes, build-essentials contains various compilers and related helpful applications. You need the compilers to run "make" and "make install". Those commands run scripts which compile the various pieces of source code.

Glad you were able to find the information you needed. If you run into problems in the future, please don't hesitate to post here, but remember to use descriptive subject headers. Many people, including myself, just scan through the post subject headers to find which problems we might actually be able to help solve.
