Hi all! Introducing....

Hello...
My name is Itai, I'm 25 from Israel.

I started using Linux about 3 months ago, after reading an article about SuSE 10.1.

When I was 17 we used Silicon Graphics computers running Unix, and I was under the impression that Linux what no different even nowadays... but after reading the SuSE article I realized much has changed and decided to give SuSE a go.

I was pleasantly surprised...
The only thing that bugged me was YaST (evil, evil program).
I started using Smart and all was well in the world.

Then I decided to try out Fedora Core 6.
I like it very much, even though it was a pain to install the media support.
But again, I realized I don't like Yum & YumEx, so I'm back to Smart and all is well again

I'm a graphics designer in my profession and I make music in my spare time (which has diminished to something I can't even measure anymore).

I try to contribute as much as I can to anyone who needs graphical help for a free license software.

I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay!

p.s: why can't I access private messages? I don't have enough permissions, but I registered, and activated my account... anything else I should do? Thanks.

Hi Itai Welcome to LQ

Why do you think its a pain to install media support in FC6? Well, i guess we all have our own perceptions.

I think to use private messages, you need to be a contributing member.

Besides why go private
