Sorry rippletan, but I have to agree with pan64 here.
While I welcome you to LQ and realize you seem to want to help, please understand a few things about LQ;
We try to give guidance here that not only enables the OP to learn something, but also, to use what is best suited to the task. As well as, following best practices when configuring things and doing things with Linux. We like to see people having less problems with Linux, *not* avoidable and completely unnecessary problems.
In the example pan64 mentioned, you're basically telling the OP (and whoever else reads that thread) to ignore the advice of Kali's very developers. Who clearly state on Kali's very own website that it is *ONLY* for network penetration and other network related security auditing purposes. As TB0ne pointed out in that very thread, there is also a 'sticky' thread here at LQ - I suggest you read both of those things.
I hope you consider this if you plan on replying to more thread in the future...
