Welcome!

Let's hope you make good experiences with FOSS (Free and Open Source Software), but if you don't please don't give up =D

It's called "Ubuntu" by the way, and it's a good starting point for beginners and average users. I, for my part, use Debian because I'm experienced and trying different things (right now, I have a "stable" system plus backports plus a few "testing" packages - maybe I'll stay with that).

First of all Thank you Titan. Can I know the major conferences targeting Embedded devices Market? Or please can you point me to a webpage link if you have one.

I'm afraid I don't know much (if anything) about these conferences. But if your question is Linux-related, you should probably open a new thread on LQ. I assume you already tried search engines (though additional discussion on a forum and otherwise shouldn't hurt).
