Hey! :)

Hi!

I came to this forum searching for answers to questions and hope to give some answers to others as well. I love the spirit of GNU/Linux, and open source and I really want to contribute to make everyone's open source experience better, as mine has been very nice so far with people's help!

I'm pretty new with Linux aside from trying to decipher certain problems (xorg.conf stuff mostly) and I've read part of Linux In A Nutshell to learn some commands and emacs. I want to do object oriented programming and develop some applications, so I'm starting Python then C afterwards, but books and guides I look at seem really cryptic and confusing in plain text so I learn slow :( If anyone can recommend good guides that clarify the languages in a more simple, visual way I'd appreciate it.

I use Slackware 10.2 and prefer KDE. :)

Thanks for your help so far and I hope to be here for a while.
