Hellos you all. What are you running? Why?

My first post. Running Debian Stable because it's all free software and I only have to remember it exists for a brief period of time every 5 years.

I'm running Slackware--it's what I started with and is my touchstone--Debian SID, and Mageia--plus others in VMs because I love to try stuff.

But, if pressed, I always go back to Slackware, the distro of iron.

Welcome to LQ.

Pretty much the same with me just Debian instead of Slackware.

Greetings.

It's kinda off topic but here I go. I made a post about 12 hours ago, it was said that it had to wait mod approval. I'm still waiting. Is this normal? I couldn't find a way to contact a mod in the interface.

Welcome aboard.

I use AntiX, (Debian based), been using it daily for several years now.

welcome

I run Fedora, because it is derived from RedHat, from which the first Distribution I ran, YellowDog (Distribution for PowerPC macs), is based.

Which version do you run? In my experience you can get a more stable experience by using the old stable and still have bleeding edge packages. If the current version is 27 I would use 26 until 28 is released.

Didn't know it. One more candidate for old machines. Nice.

Hello again. I don't know if that's normal or not. Was it eventually sorted out for you?
