Hello world! :-)

Hello!

Over the last few months, more and more Linux systems have displaced windows boxes at my home. First there was a device that cuddled up to the television, then an EeePC arrived, and lately my main gaming computer has begun to 'seem old'. So I'm thinking of replacing my current windows system with a Linux system.

I don't really use it for much, I play WoW (does anyone not today?) Do some web browsing, VPN into work, some word processing, and image processing. Sometimes when I'm feeling really creative, I build and render some 3d images, and I play around with Photoshop.

I know which distro I want to install (Debian since it already has a connection to my television). I know that I will build the new system on a Asus motherboard (because I've had consistent good luck with them). And I want to go SATA for drives (simply because I have many lying around unloved)

Things that I'm not sure about and would love to hear advice on include AMD vs. Intel. Humm, I guess that really is the big item I'm not sure about.

I currently use three monitors (click I'll post a picture of it eventually.) so that's something that I'd want to keep going with. NVidia seems to be the best choice for that from what I've seen so far.

Well, that's pretty much a good summary of my current computer obsessions right now. Other than that I watch lots of Anime and work.

See you around!

Senjak
