Hello World

I'm an old dog learning a new trick. The new trick being to replace my Windows desktop with Linux.

I haven't done any administration lately, but 15 years ago I was pretty good with sh scripts and OK with PERL. I started with RTll and RSX (who remembers that?) then in and out of various server operating system versions of Unix, VMS, Windows and VMware when it's Red Hat underpinnings were clearly visible and accessible.
