I just singed up and I wanted to say hello. I also want to fore-warn all of you. I am new to Linux but I have been interested in it for years now. I want to learn absolutely EVERYTHING that there is to know about it and I will stop at nothing until I do. Having said that I apologize if I become a pain.

Welcome to LQ!

If you're willing to read and learn before posting
you want become a pain, or a pita. If you just want
to post and have someone answer everything for you
without doing anything for yourself, you will...

That being said, I'd recommend you read Eric Raymond's
How To Ask Questions The Smart Way maybe before you
even make another post. This will get you acquainted
with how this open source world, forums, news groups,
etc. work. And it will also help you understand how
to go about finding out what and where you can search,
and learn on your own, before just posting.

There are great learning articles at TLDP, and to start
I recommend An Introduction to Linux - A Hands On Guide.
