Hello Linux World

Tired of both legacy OS's dogma. Doing research as to which Distro to start with.

Welcome to LQ, and to Linux. Tell us what you are looking for in Linux (or what you think you are looking for) and we might be able to give some intelligent opinions. Obviously, there will be lots of different ideas, but if you tell us, for example, that you're less interested in learning the fundamentals of Unix, then something like Mint or OpenSuse might come up, while if you say you want to dive in and learn it from the ground up, then Slackware is bound to be mentioned.

In truth, it's all Linux, at the end of the day, and any distro can be whatever you want it to be, so yet another option might be to pick something at random and just see what works best for you and, more importantly, your hardware.

Cheers!
