hello i'm chris and i have one shirt

Hey guys, this is my intro post. I've been interested in Linux for a while now and i'm seriously considering a dual boot system with XP and Slackware. I've also made a USB flashdrive that boots SLAX and it's alot of fun. I've screwed around with LiveCDs (Sabayon, DSL) and am really enjoying the world of Linux.

i got into Linux because of the open source movement. I've been using open source software for a while now and have always been pleased (GTK+, GIMP, OpenOffice.org, OpenGL, ...) and decided that i should just move to an open source operating system. Also in my line of work you run into Linux alot and i figured i'd better learn about it and fast if i didn't want to fall behind.

Thanks guys! Hope to have alot of fun and help others on this site. Happy Hacking!

You should hold off on any additional toy purchases and invest in a few more shirts. People are apt to talk about you even if you wash it every day.

Hi OneShirtChris, I love your attitude. If you really want to play around you may consider an external hd and install numerous versions of linux. I now have five different ones. One is a bare minimum install without any extras and one is loaded to the gills. I use three of them most of the time. I'm ready to install another one, I never install more till I get the last one working to my satisfaction.
