Arrow Hello I'm another newby

Hi

I'm a total nob to linux,

and I think the Linux world is very fascinating

I have quite a bit of experience on windows but on Linux.........no way.
I have installed successfully a distro suse 10.2

now I find it very difficult to do very simple things...like installing programs..drivers or sometimes even navigating with the console to a folder in order to start an installation.

could you please recommend some reading or where to start???

Thank you,

Newbyonlinux

Ciao.

Since the first one does not take long to read, you might as well try it.
I hope you find it interesting.

Linux software does not install the same way as Microsoft software. If you try to do it that way, you will only be making things harder on yourself.

Linux software and drivers install EASIER than on Microsoft. Learn about Yast, your package manager. Also, see the Newbie FAQ in my signature.
