Hi, y'all. 大家好。
I stumbled in here with a couple of questions, which I'll post elsewhere. It's a little bit embarrassing: I was user number 300 on ARPAnet; that's before DARPAnet was even a glint in Senator Mansfield's and Joe Lickleider's eyes. Yet here I am dependent upon my children and nephews for advice part of the time.
For fun I'm taking a course in database theory by Internet from Stanford,
http://www.db-class.org/course/auth/welcome . There's probably still time for you to get in, and they have other good courses as well. But my problem is all their software is for Mac or PC at exactly the time I've switched both my machines over to Ubuntu. So I'm having to learn too damn much at the same time.
Ah, well, I suppose it staves off the Alzheimer's. Somewhat. I hope.
Cheers,
-dlj.
