Hello from the Bay Area
I am an embedded systems programmer who is migrating from proprietary tools and software to Open Source (GNU) tools and the eCos Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). I am writing emulation software that I can run under Linux/Cygwin so that I can do high-level development before the hardware guys give me anything to play with. (We use the ARM-7 platform, by the way)
Anyhow, I have scant experience with Linux and the Open Source world, and have already posted my first question to this site. I hope I can eventually be of help to others, and I'm really looking forward to becoming a GNU/Linux/eCos guru.
Cheers,
Josh
