I've been using Linux for about 15 years, but I've only recently had occasion to join the LQ community as a new Slackware user. I live in Orlando with my family and work as a software engineer and adjunct professor.
How's life outside the most fun place in the world?
I wouldn't know. I don't go outside.
Actually, I took my kids to Disney World for the first time over the holiday, so I'm still coasting on the "world's best dad" energy. Apart from that, I didn't come to Orlando for the things most people probably think of when they hear of it. I miss snowy winters and downhill skiing.
How's life outside the most fun place in the world?
Between my wife and me, neither of us are the theme park type. We only took our young kids to Disney for the first time over the holiday. The city is growing pretty fast, though, so it's interesting to be a part of that.
Heh! I've lived in Florida all my life (nearly 60 years). I've NEVER been to Disney. Actually, I've been known to take 200 mile detours to avoid the Orlando area entirely.

I'm sure you're not the only person to that. I4 through Orlando is a mess!
