Thumbs up Hello from France!

Hi All!

Long life to Linux!
I got a used PowerBook G3 a few month ago. The thing was not OK, freezing unexpectedly... Now it's repaired; I had to change the CPU board, but the good point is that I upgraded from 333 to 400MHz, which is noticeably faster!

I prefer Linux to MacOS so I installed Yellow Dog Linux on the machine.
Actually I already have some user experience with Linux, having installed Red Hat 5 then Mandrake 7 flavors on desktop PC's.

The bottom line in my sense is using Linux takes big amounts of time! So for many things I use a recent laptop with WinXP...
Now that I also have the PowerBook with Linux, I'm going to configure it, when time enables , targetting stability and security benefits, and additional experience of Unix/Linux commands/systems.

Next step in sight: see how a SMC2835W Wi-Fi adapter will work with Linux...

Happy to join!!!
Thanks all

based on Debian, sounds good!
But it targets x86 computers only, so my PowerBook understands YDL better ...
