Hello!

Just figured I would pop in and say hi to the site. I'm currently working on picking out my very first Linux distribution so that is exciting. I've already made a post in the Distributions forum and am waiting on mod approval. Here is hoping that I've managed to find a friendly and helpful community make breaking into the Linux world a bit easier!

Thanks for the welcome
BTW, does anyone know how long of a wait time I should expect for my post in the distro forum to get mod approved?

Hello and welcome to the forum

This can be a day or two, depending on when the moderators have time to review it.

Regards...

Hi & HUGE welcome! Wonderful enthusiasm; great Distro post!

Have you thought of VirtualBox? It's as 'fun' as discovering computers themselves

Here's a skim-read on how you can have dozens of Distros running as fast as you can download!

I'd be thrilled to hear your feedback on this/my idea! I think it's perfect for your situation,
of trying distros on a 6GBram PC, before/without encountering any hardware (UEFI/wifi/video) issues. 9minutes is all I ask

Yea, it's not the 'final' setup/solution of max speed, but it's sooooooooo EASY! JUMP in!
